Yoshiike Nursery

The Yoshiike Nursery, located at 16th & Willow streets in Oakland, was likely the first Japanese run nursery in the East Bay. Hiroshi Yoshiike ran the nursery from 1892 until 1911. He was the first Japanese to experiment with chrysanthemum growing in the U.S.
